Alan Shane Lewis is a comedian, actor and writer based in Toronto, Canada and isthe co-host of THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW. He has been nominated fora CSA for BEST HOST of a REALITY COMPETITION SHOW 4 times.
From his early beginnings as a short filmmaker, he has had a constant passion forwriting and creating comedy in all its forms. As a standup he has performed at theworld-renowned JFL 42, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, NBC's Stand Up for Diversity,Toronto Sketchfest and headlined Yuk Yuk’s, Canada's oldest comedy club chain. You can see him on the first 2 seasons of the JFL Series “Roast Battle Canada”, andis elated to return this season.
Lewis is a regular on CBC’s “Because News”, and NBA TV. He is an alumni of TheSecond City Toronto. He’s also the host of Shopify’s YouTube series, CuriousBusiness and co-host of the podcast, “Do They Deserve Love?” Alan has also beena regular writer on This Hour Has 22 Minutes for the past 2 seasons, along with theteam,winning the CSA for Best Writing in a Sketch/Variety Series in 2025.
Known for his high-energy and cheerful disposition, Lewis’ comedy is inspired by hisexperience being an outsider hiding in plain sight. When he’s not performing, youcan often find him on the court dunking basketballs, playing video games on Twitch,fashionably splashing on red carpets, or attempting to TikTok.
